ironic symmetry, my interest in self-reflective imagery has recently been influenced by specific scientific data regarding beauty. Men and women subconsciously judge another person’s attractiveness by the symmetry in their facial features, with the more symmetrical being favorable. By exploring this subconscious judgment of balance through photography, architecture, and space, my work brings a meditative perspective on the relationship we have with our immediate and distant environments.
